I have an 800 Mhz MTS2000 that has the front display with the 6 button keypad on it, I bought a new case for it with the full keypad.

The question is, where do I tell the radio to enable itself for the full keypad?

I'm assuming I will need to edit the codeplug

Thanks
Steve

Before you do anything, check your radio to see if it's susceptible to toolproofing. Some MTS2000's will die if you attempt to hack them. Refer to the MTSX section on batlabs.com in the model specific information pages.

I have no advice for you on changing from a limited to a full keypad. I've never attempted it.

It can be done.

If your firmware is >5.41 then your radio will have to be flashed. Big bucks!

If your firmware is <5.42 then you need labtools in order to do it.
