Not hard at all. One thing to keep in mind is the side accessory connector. It's a flex strip which essentially just 'sticks' to the radio with an adhesive strip. The refurb kit does not come with this adhesive strip, so you want to carefully peel it off with the flex. Otherwise, piece of cake.
