How well do they work on continuous duty in full 40 watts?

Wow continuous duty, 40 watts, I'd say they would have a short HOT life!

Even a R1225 repeater is only rated full power at 50% duty cycle and 25 watts at 100% with fan forced cooling.
Are you sure this unit will be Tx'ing 100% of the time? If it is, you better buy a real repeater else you'll have lots of repairs.

The SM120 will work in an Extender setup with my extender module, BUT not at full transmit power without FORCED cooling, they do NOT have enough heatsink. The SM120 will work fine for the receiver in a repeater setup and my repeater module is plug and play using ANY Radius/Maxtrac mobile for the transmitter. You do not need a 16 pin radio, the repeater module plugs into the mic jack on the transmitter radio. I also make repeater and extender modules for five pin radios used for the receiver.
I am currently working on the interface for MCS2000 series, Vertex FTL, and Kenwood TK880 radios.
