Saber dropping PL on scan...

i have a saber 3 and was wondering if there is something i am not doing correctly in regard to scan. it seems that whenever i go into scan mode it strips the PL...which is a pain as it VHF-hi...as well as other interference from distant stations same freq/different pl.

is there a way to scan with the pl on? what am i doing/not checking in the programming if it is possible? thanks.

Just wondering if you ever solved your problem?
I have a secure saber 3 vhf that won't stop scanning even for valid signals.
When I program a clear codeplug it scans normaly. Ever see this?

I have done some searching and I did find some posts claiming
their sabers were dropping pl's when scanning.

Here's a couple. Maybe my problem and the pl problem are related.
Not to many people seem to be responding.
Probably most have moved on to astro's
After all the flap about nick radios I'm kind of glad I couldn't afford one.
