minitor II "no sound"

Hello all,

I got in a minitor II pager the other day and doesn't have any sound at all.
the red light comes on after you turn the pager on but no sound.

Anyone have an idea on the fix???

Check the headphone jack, audio IC or the speaker itself for starters...

Does it alert ok? Blinking light and beep?

Well I connected a ear plug and I have power on tone & light. Still no speaker sound??? Bad speaker maybe ????

Let me clarify my last post :
I have sound thru the ear phone but not the pager speaker.

The earjack likely is stuck open, routing audio to the earphone but not speaker. Replace the jack, or what I do, is jumper the jack contacts to bypass the jack entirely. Problem solved.

I replaced the speaker last night and still doesnt work so I will try what you advised.
