HHCH for AVA

what is the definitave answer- will a hhch run the ava? if so, which mic and what if any cables or mods do i need? is an updated firmware ava model required?

The definitive answer:

Yes, it works. BUT....it requires ONE specific version of firmware in the radio, and it's an old one.

And, the HHCH has to be a very specific type.

AND, it requires a Y adapter cable.

Working AVA HHCH systems are as rare as hen's teeth these days,
mostly because the radios that they worked with have almost all been
reflashed or at least they're no longer with the AVA.
