Using a Motorola RIB with GE radios

Well, one of my friends baught the Orion programmer tonight from Price Industries - who makes the best one out there from what I hear.
I was hoping to investigate a rumor I heard that you could make an adapter that would work with the Motorola Rib.
I baught a Orion VHF today at a hamfest and I've eager to program it. Seems to be a nice radio.
Thanks for the kind offer Monty, we'll see how this programmer works. Also gotta buy some DB39's. need to whip up some dual radio adapters. Sadly the one thing that can't easily be done with the spectras. These support it out of the box. In My car, I need every inch I can get.

Price Industries of Oklahoma City makes a variety of programming devices, including a cable for the Orion series, you don't need an adaptor just the cable and software. Their version of the GE TK series work fine, with various radios. FYI I have equipped our field techs with their box to maintain all of our EDACS radios. They recently came out with an adaptor that allows you to use the Price Industries TK programmer on Motorola radios with the suitable Motorola SW and cable. Look up Price Industries, Joe will take care of you.

And I have one of their orion radio programmers - it's well worth the $60 or so that it costs. No hassles, works perfectly, and it's a rib-free programmer for the orions. I've also bought the P-96A programming rib from Price, it's been an extremely good product. I've programmed MRK's, MDX's, MDR's with it, never had the first problem or complaint (and no, I don't work for Price Industries).
