WHAT IS THE MOST SENSITIVE MOTOROLA RADIO?
I wonder what will be THE most sensitive radio Motorola has ever build!
I know my MX3000 is more sensitive then my MT2100 and MTS2000, both the MTS and the MT ar tweaked to the max but the MX3000 beat them almost anytime....
Greetings,
GJ

Yup got my vote too. Analog Sabers rulez
sensitivity
Nope ! Gotta be a lo band mitrek I have one on 6 meters ham
(52.xxx mhz) measures .07 Uv for 12Db sinad. Could not believe it
so tried on several different svc monitors and got .07-.08 every time.
I honestly believe it can really hear a gnat fart at 3.7 miles. Phrawg

My vote for the most sensitive.....GP300
I cursed and screamed at mine one day ina fit of rage and it locked up and never worked again......the radio took a trip to get repaired(replaced) and I went for sensitivity training.

observations
i have gp300,s and a gp900-99
by far the gp 300,s seem to be far better than the 900
if only they came up with a 300 that had 900 functions
ie the following:-
wide band "designed" 303-370
more than 16 channels (hacked or unhacked)
ability for "public safety mic"
squelch overide
repeater talkround
alpha tags are handy
for close in work i would always use th gp900-99
but in marginal areas gp300 comes into its own!

- What radios do you own?: XTS2500, XTS5000, and MTS2000
For mobiles, its anything 20+ years old.
The x9000 that I have/had outperform anything else I have owned. Went from x9000 to spectra, lost some radio with that, and spectra to astro spectra and seemed like I lost more.
At one point I got rid of a lowband x9000 for an ORion, and went back to the x9000. Just can't say enough good things about it.
I have noticed somewhat the same with portables too. Newer they are, less they seem to be.

Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system

i have a MT500 that was factory crystalled, stickered and tuned for 154.600 its date code is something like 1982 and it's sensitivity on that freq blows away my HT600 GP300 p100, GE MPA and it even seems to hear a bit better than my VHF AS3 *sniff* wish the AS3 had its sensitivity. but love it anyway. i dont know what the mV of the reciever is, but it will definately hear stuff well that the other radios cant, or barely.

think about how to ENCOURAGE Motorola learning safely with GRACE.....NOT condemnation.

I was glad somebody mentioned the MT500, one of the finest public safety radios ever made. Of note were the three 17.9 MHz receiver filters, this receiver was exceptionally clear and sensitive. A similar receiver was used in the Pageboy II series, which also happens to be one the most sensitive voice pagers I've ever seen.

Sensitive radios
For the portables, I also have to go with the older units... the MT500 and the MX series. I had one or two MXs that absolutley where incredible on rx.
Mobiles, the Syntor and the MCX1000 also when properly tuned did quite well.
