Okay, i am beating my head against a wall here.
History: Got a load of old astro sabers in at work. programming them and key loading them. First batch i did didnt key load easily and then all of a sudden they key loaded fine. Now i am trying to key load the rest of them and they wont load.
Question:
Is there a trick of some sort to get these things to key load?

host and dsp are older. dsp is 5.? so they arent IMBE.
the kvl being used is a kvl 3000+ in ASN mode.

There's no trick... mine load quite easily. However, I don't have an ubersexy KVL3000+ to use!
Stupid question time - you have verified the existence of UCMs in the radios, yes?
Secure hardware equipped is enabled and the radio recognizes the UCM according to the self-test?
The UCMs have analog algorithms (not DES-OFB only, for instance)?
I've had issues keyloading before... then I noticed the radio didn't have a UCM installed. D'oh.

Saber loading
Also make sure in the encryption options for the radio that "CKR Key management" is disabled.

they do have modules installed. and ckr is deselected.
the first run i programmed wouldnt take a key until about 3 or more trys and then all of a sudden they all took the first time. I dont know that i really did anything to make it take, its like it just decided to stop jerking around and take the key.
As stated, i am in ASN mode vice Astro 25 mode so i dont know. Maybe i just need to keep trying.
These are model 1 AS's.
