Check out the Hustler G6-440 antenna.AB8JD wrote:I'm looking for some ideas on an antenna For a flexar repeater I'm going to use on 440mhz anyone have any suggestions?????
6 db rated gain. 1kw power handling.
The Diamond F718A sounds pretty nice.. the 11.5 db gain figure would be really nice to help improve coverage.
Commercial antennas can be pricey$$.. beware.
Some good feedline is Davis RF BuryFlex. http://www.davisrf.com/ham1/coax.htm
This is a 9913/9914 equivelant coax. It has a PE jacket, which makes it great for direct burial or exposure to the elements.
LMR cable is expensive$$. BuryFlex isn't as costly, and wil preform just as well.
But no matter what... no RG-58 and no RadioShack coax.
