mts2000 sidetone (no beep)

mts2000 sidetone (no beep)

i have mts2000 and i have one of mt channels set to have a pre-id (mdc1200) and i enabled the sidetone feature for the signaling system but when i press the ptt button i dont hear the beep?

I'm not too sure on how familiar you are with the MTS2000 RSS, but, here are a few things to check:

MDC ID is set to PRE under signalling

Make sure the channel you want to program the ID on has signalling enabled

Make sure that you have signalling enabled so that you get the prekey ID 'tone' enabled. For some reason it has the option to have the option turned off, and this may be the case.

Also be sure that the alert tones are all enabled, and the alert tone volume is set correctly and not disabled.

Using a receiver on the input, verify that your radio is sending MDC ID. Maybe it isn't capable of that. Also be sure the programmed ID is a valid one (no "F"s).

it decodes on my cdm1550 and the id is all numbers(6201)
