mts2000 top display question

Post by k5rpd »

Will an MTS2000 Model 1 with the top display display unit IDs for a MDC1200 signalling system? What is the minimum flashcode requird for this? Or will the basic flash allow just for the ID to display?

Thanks,
JJ Smith

No. Part of the reason is that there are not enough characters, since MDC ID translates the hexadecimal values to decimal values and then adds a large number.

Yes, MTS2000 with top display will decode MDC1200 ID's, mine does anyway. Not sure on the flashcode, but I think if you have the unit flashed for MDC1200 then it should do it. Of course this option must be enabled in RSS (older versions of RSS don't have the option most newer ones do) under Display Options, "CALLER ID". Hope this helps.

Display ID

My MTS2000 top display radios decode IDs also. I think you need the add stat alert features flash though. My firmware is 6.53 or something like that. Like mugsy said, you also need later rss to enable the feature.

Will a Top-Display MTS display the trunking site # if you program System Display and Search....

Or will it display site aliases if its a OmniLink radio?
