frequency ranges of ht750, 1250, 1550
ok most everyone on here has hacked their ht1250 registry, and when you're done if you go to the help tab and see what's supported it says it supports 220, 700, & 800 mhz. why does it support this if they don't make a 750, 1250, or 1550 in those ranges? what am i missing here?

The answer is that M does make pro series radios for those frequency ranges, but not for use in the U.S., only for export to other areas of the world. That's why the first two letters of the model number designate the area(i.e. AA, LA, etc.) that the radio was designed for. Remember that just because [hacked] registry values and keys allow the CPS to recognize these other areas doesn't mean that the hardware will support them.
bands
The HT1250LS+ has the 200 band(217-222) and 700 band (746-794). The 800 band must be the MTX series mabe?

Re: bands
Well, the MTX has it's own specific CPS, so I would say the 800 is for some other version of the HT/CDM stuff.SD70MAC wrote:The HT1250LS+ has the 200 band(217-222) and 700 band (746-794). The 800 band must be the MTX series mabe?

i used regular cps 6-04 on my mtx950 without any problems...Well, the MTX has it's own specific CPS
its the same cps that i use on mt 1250....
on the hack note, can you hack the model number???
i can get the cps to accept an edited one but its only changed in the hex and not the radio info....
hours of headaches caused me to give up......
I TURN THE KNOB, THE LIGHT BLINKS AND IT BEEPS.........THATS ALL IT DOES!!!!!!

can't hack the model number that i know of, that info is stored in the firmware, the cps can't get to it. i think i heard of being able to change the serial number with the tuner but don't know about the model number.
