HT1000 High start-up"beep"but very low Audio FIXED
Another problem I have with other radios HT1000, is after radios passed self test I can hear a loud and clear “Beep”, but the audio out put of the radio is extremely low, even with full volume, good Rx sensitivity but very low audio amplification, please HELP me out if this problem I have a few radios with the same problem.

This probably isn't it, but . . .
If you remove the front cover to check the flex, also check the seating of the speaker in the front cover and the metal clip that holds it there. This clip is not included in the refurb kit, but must be transferred from the old front when changing fronts. I've seen a number of radios where the clip is missing. Usually this results in rattles and pops rather than consistently low audio, but you never can tell.

What chip is that, and where is it locate @. I had changed a few front cover from other working radios but nothing works.RKG wrote:This probably isn't it, but . . .

If the flex connection is good and solid, I would check the header/socket to ensure the solder pads are good with no cracks in the solder or traces.
If the socket has broken/weak solder connections, this could be the reason for the extremely low audio levels you are experiencing.
The part number for the speaker retaining bracket is: 0705470V01

The Audio output amps and volume control circuitry are all on the Command board. The audio output amps are sort of seperate for the internal speaker and external speaker. There is also some switching circuits there for int/ext operation.
Swaping command boards with a known good one in the SAME range/model?????

People just to confirm I installed the RF board from other working ht1000 and the problem is gone. I know the audio amp and audio int/ext spkr switch is in the controller board but this problem is in the RF board. I also clone the radio with the one I took the RF board from but did not fix the problem.levap2way wrote:I can’t believe that no one had cross by this problem before, please people, no buddy have and idea about that can really be that problem? Will wrote:Check the settings for the BEEP (alert) tones in the RSS.
The RX audio has a seperate max audio setting in RSS, check that, usally set at 234.

its a simple fix...
resolder the logic and tx board sockets for the connecting flex..
dont unsolder em, just heat up the individual tabs...
check for solder bridges, assemble, done...
i was making ht's from my parts box and ran into that...
all good now....
also, check the socket for the audio flex...
resolder if needed..
done

I did all swaping options and the only one that worked was the RF board. The problem goes away if i replace the RF board for a known working one...Will wrote:The Audio output amps and volume control circuitry are all on the Command board. Re: HT1000 High start-up"beep"but very low Audio F
I finally found the problem on the radio. OK, after a lot of test and lots of RF boards changed and swap the problem was the flex but no the spkr mic flex, I installed a brand new control flex and the radio worked just fine. The control flex is the one from the control board to the channel selector and the vol pot/switch and I suspect of that flex because the green light at start up never turn on even when the setting was enable to do it. So guys order one of these that for sure that will solve the problem.levap2way wrote:Another problem I have with other radios HT1000, is after radios passed self test I can hear a loud and clear “Beep”, but the audio out put of the radio is extremely low, even with full volume, good Rx sensitivity but very low audio amplification, please HELP me out if this problem I have a few radios with the same problem.
