Ok... just out of curiousty... is there a way to do a discrimantor tap on a Astro Saber?

omg... ok I definitely have been over works this week... duhh service manual and
why...I guess I should have clarified it more, was wonder if I was able to tap it from the outside acc. connector, wanted to test that NAC decoder software somebody posted up, don’t have a digital scanner to tap and test.

I don't believe you need a digital scanner for that to work.

Here's a clip from the service manual...it doesn't appear to have discriminator audio at the accessory connector:

No digital scanner required. I used it on an analog-only Uniden BC-780 without a problem. I could not get it to work with an older PRO-94 though. Just remember you need that discriminator audio! Earphone/speaker jacks don't work.

Got it working with my old Uniden UBC57XLT. It only seems to decode strong signals though.

so much for that lol.

Hmm I will try that.. now just need to find an old scanner around here. That's intresting I thought the NAC was being transmitted out as broken up digital format.
