We've got a Astro Spectra w/ a W9 head that is exhibiting a strange scan issue.
All other functions of the radio work fine. The radio is set for Priority 1 as the currently selected personality, no Priority 2, and user selectible Non-Priority scan. Scanlist edit works fine (there's only 1 scanlist in the radio, and it's conventional, no trunking in this rig).
When you're done editing the scanlist, and engage scan, the radio just sits there with the P1 marker flashing. The radio does not seem to recieve on the currently selected mode or any modes in the scanlist whilst scanning. You can change modes and zones as normal but it just sits there flashing away happily.
Apparently this has been an intermittent problem that started fairly recently. I tried a codeplug refresh, to no avail.
Any ideas?

can't remember off the top of my head exactly but it sounds like its stuck on 1 channel or couple that has traffic or intermitten sound and it just staying on there waiting for the right PL to be come through.. I remember in the scan list you can disable scan or enble where it checks once and if it's not the right PL it will just skip it and check later then just hanging on there.. give that a try

An update:
The vehicle the radio is in sat idle for about a week or so. When we started it up and powered up the radio, presto, scan works normally. This lasted for about 45 minutes (mostly on the highway, if that matters), and then the scan started acting up again.
At this point I'm thinking it has to be hardware. Any suggestions? Command board maybe, or vocon?
