cdm trouble

cdm trouble

I am having trouble with a few cdm's. When scanning channel 1 wide band and channel 2, narrowband, i have to turn the volume up on channel 2 in order to hear it. than channel 1 comes in two loud. I am constantly adjusting it. Any sugg? firmware?

Someone elses levels aren't right if your spacing is properly set.

Try turning on the Companding feature for channel 2. This is supposed to improve the audio on narrow band channels

i am using companding. 159.2175 is 12.5 right?

companding is only going to work right if everyone else has theirs on too.

do you have (that gawdawwful) lowlevel expansion or the AGC on?

What is LLE supposed to do anyway? Anytime I have enabled it, the audio is terrible! And when I turn on AGC, it takes a second for the audio to come up it volume... Useless!

Turn off all "audio enhancers" that destroy audio quality.
