MT1000 Front Panel

Post by gatekeep »

Hi, I have a few MT1000's, I'm wondering what the pinout of the internal front panel connector is? (Note: I am not talking about the acc. connector on the top of the radio.)

Depends which options your face has.
Basic, dtmf encode, dtmf encode/decode.

There are common elements...

For connector P5/ P702 :

Microphone Flex assembly (at the controller)

3 INT MIC
4 GND
5 SPKR COMMON
6 INT SPKR
7 NC/ *SIGNALLING BUSY
8 NC/ *SIGNALLING DATA
9 NC/ *SIGNAL DECODE
10 NC/ *TX SIGNALLING

AT THE OTHER END OF FLEX>>>

BASIC (NTN5596A) (8405592S01 on flex cable)
end of flex:
---------
SPKR+
SPKR-
GND
B+
8VDC
MIC+
MIC-

OR.......

*Encode/Decode Option: (NTN5458B)
To Option Board: (8402038J 01 on flex cable)
--------------------
E5 GND
E6 8VDC
E4 SIGNALLING DATA
E3 SIGNALLING BUSY
E2 TX SIGNALLING
E1 SIGNAL DECODE

My explaination may not appear to be clear because the book was not clear. This is general info, PM me for more help.
