cdm1225 pre emphasis disable?

Post by KH »

I have a dealer who wants to link using 1225 mobiles, and send 2 tone paging thru to a high power station. Preemphasis will distort the tones, anyone know how to diasble it?

Thanks!

You should be able to simply route the tones into FLAT TX input PIN 5, instead of the AUX MIC input PIN 2. I've never had an issue with paging tones distorting using pin 5.

CDM1225?

Is it a CDM series or a 1225?

I think pin 5 is flat tx audio on both so it shouldn't matter.

you are going to have fun if you are using an MC2000 remote for paging. its a very nice unit, but even with the local remote there is no way to separate the voice from the paging audio.

Worse yet there is only one TX audio level adjust. So either the paging audio is not right or the voice is terrible.

Motorola is not interested in fixing it so I built a board to fix it myself.

Too bad, nice unit.
