VHF JT-1000 Test modes question

Post by phrawg »

Anyone know what the test modes are for this radio.
I have an early one with 1.34 firmware. If I press 5 times I get
"test mode" after it announces the revision then it
will give an increasing number of beeps with each press
untill it reaches 6 then falls back to one beep etc etc.
When turned back off it goes back to normal on reboot.
TIA for any help Phrawg

correct me if I'm wrong? there was a book that gave the number of beeps for what you were testing in the JT...
to be honest... its been so long, I don't recall..try the service manual?
or hopefully someone else will give you a more detailed answer

now I can't even press thes side button 5 times to go into the test mode?

From the service manual:

No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
