How do you open the case on a Minitor III?

i have talke to motorola about that they say it is near impossible without breaking it

The question is...why do you want to open the case? are you trying to replace the volume or function knobs??? there is an easier way to do it....I havent been able to open one with out breaking it..i usually only do it when i replace belt clips that gets ripped off.

The manual for the m3 says to pry it apart with a set of internal expanding snap ring pliers. I was succesful in opening the unit this way but the impact of reassembling the case seemed to mess up the adjustments. I had to return the pager for M for service. They gave us a new one.

I would send it into motorola for service. Mine had a scan problem and motorla gave me a new one. Mine was not on the recall since mine was too new and it is lowband VHF...
