JT1000 Password prob?

Post by Glendale Radio »

I put a password in my JT (a 4 digit no.) after about 4 months not in use, When I put the programming key on! and select channel. It prompts me to enter the password. But nothing happens after I enter it!. I looked over all the data & password is the same on the 386 pc. Tried to backspace the 4 numbers out! That does not work? Any ideas on how I can go back to field programming? TIA! Glen

Are you remembering to hit the little green (or blue) side button
after you enter the password like an enter key on a computer ?
I forget to do that all the time on mine. Phrawg

I would like to remove the password Frank! But when I try to clear that space in the rss. It prompts me to enter at least a one digit password? Oh well....

Put it into government mode! No key needed, keep the speakermic attached!
