if you open the radio and remove the long board thats covering the t/x and bottom section, theres a socket on it like the logic board has in a mts2k...

i pulled it apart to clean out some debris and came upon an option board of some kind...i have the original configuration of the radio and it says nothing about secure option boards...

i took the plate that the board is on and removed it, there is a # on a sticker that i have no idea what it is..

Y26402293 264/00 0105956V67
thats on the barcode sticker on the board...

its the same size as a jedi opton board..

any help would be great..

radio info:

100004-000000-4
H09RDC9PW5BN
48 channel
no display

fm approved

thanx

it's a DES-XL / DES-OFB secure board.

if you don't need / want it - there are others here that will want it.

recommended price is about $150-$175.

do this:

turn on "SECURE HARDWARE EQUIPPED" in CPS/RSS

program radio

boot radio up - and put into self test.

write down all the information presented regarding the secure module, i.e. the EMC REVISION # (should be something like EMC 3.xx) and which algorithms are loaded onto the board.... you'll need that info later.

By the looks of the Model # (RDC), it's a Model 1 radio and he won't be able to pull any info in service mode not having a display.
