I think its time I leave.

Post by apco25 »

I'm leaving for Arizona on Jan 2 and won't return until the 1st week of May 2007.

Now is as good a time as any time to leave and add myself to the list of people who left here for various reasons.. I really won't have time for here or the other related msg boards and given the current BS level around right now I see no point in being an active poster.

Call it a break, a hiatus, or heck maybe I won't come back. I'm sure that will make all the members here who have a problem me with dance with glee or throw an MT500 on to a burning pentagram or other pagen ritual.

There are plenty of good people here, many of you I've met in person and consider friends. As the board has grown over the years unfortunately the A-hole content has gone up as well. No offense to the board owner and mods, its not your fault as you don't control how people behave other than the content of what's posted.

I am really digusted by how people behave lately. Maybe its the holidays getting to everyone or motomax300 fever has infected the group and made everyone paranoid.

I was fair and honest about the situation regarding the transactions, yet everyone saw fit to chime in on business that didn't concern them and also have endless amounts of time to cut, paste and quote every single word I've typed and evaluat the last time I passed gas.

I've come to the conclusion I have way more patience than the average board users. With the way people act, that isn't necessarily a good thing either. I guess I'm just tired of endless ranting, raving and childish behavior. I've never acted like that in the disputes I had with anyone previously.

After the inane flame war of the last couple days I feel there is little ability for anyone to treat me or any transaction involving them fairly.

I would say the goal of making me look like an ass has been accomplished.

The remaing business I have will be finished off board before I leave for Arizona.

To the decent people here, I'll be in touch via other means.

The rest of you.....

Happy $#@!ing holidays and merry $#@!ing christmas.

Mods, move this post if you need. I didn't know where else to post it.

I may be one of the few to be sorry to see you leave.

Good luck in AZ, the weather is great out there, if I were there, I wouldn't even have internet, I would be enjoying all that the state has to offer.

sorry to see you go. The wx is nice in AZ huh ? Depends on what part your going to, 14 F this morning and 1 inch of snow at MY AZ qth but I love snow. If It gets to cold up here in northern AZ and I need a change I can just drive down to Phoenix but it's putting up with the @#* %!~) drivers down there that I don't care for. I'll bet the Phoenix drivers, if that's where your going to, are far worse than the mean people on this board.

Flag is nice! There is some good fishing and hunting there if thats what you are into. Pretty cold there now for those of us here in AZ.

AHHH, Flag is nice this time of the year.
I'm going to Phoenix myself over the holidays.
The stupid drivers don't bother me at all. Sorry to see valuable
Members go from this board. I enjoy learning new things about radios
Here and seeing how things are done in other parts of the country. Small minded people
Will be with us always, but knowledgeable folks are hard to find.
Enjoy Flag and the snow.

I took a little time to think before I ever decided to respond to this post. I am not happy with the way my current transaction is going with Alex, but at the same time I am actually going to be sorry to see him leave the board. Alex, you have been a valuable long standing member on the board and you will be missed.

Now as far as a Flame war or making you look bad in a public forum....

Yes, I saved all of the PM's between you and I. Yes, I also quoted your PM's verbatim to show what you were saying during the transaction with me. If you happen to recall I supported you before all of this and stood up for you due to your previous reputation here on the board. I have never called you a crook or accused you of anything other than poor business practices in our transaction. I simply had become more upset with the continued excuses and hopefully was able to easily show my point. I could really care less about evaluating the last time
evaluat the last time I passed gas
but, there was a specific instance in which you promised that a product would be shipped. Several days later than you initially agreed to have it shipped BTW, and then basically another member pointed out that what you told me simply did not appear to be factual based upon Positive feedback being left for you by another member. You had time to meet up with him and complete a deal when you were supposed to be shipping out a item to me, that was already days late from your promised shipping date.

This was upsetting to me as I simply do not conduct my business in this manner. I do understand that personal matters come up, conflicts occur and stuff happens that can be beyond you control. This is not an issue. The issue is simply CHARACTER. Or more to the point how you handle those situations when they occur. If you had time to post thanking one member for the positive feedback left, and had time to check the PM, you simply had the extra 30 seconds it would have taken to send me the tracking information I had requested. Simply avoiding the issue by saying you are being flamed is simply not a answer to the problem. A man of CHARACTER simply would have appolgized and let the other person know the truth about the problems in completing the transaction as agreed. Maybe you have some difficult personal issues going on for you right now that must be causing difficulty for you in your business here. I feel something along these lines must be the case as your behavior here has changed. This does not make you a bad person, it simply means you may be a person going through some trying times. I will reserve any further judgement in relation to our transaction when I recieve the laptop I purchased. I am hopeful all will be in order. I will post the information regarding it for all to see after I recieve it to clear up anything between us.

Alex, I wish you and your family luck and best wishes in your move and your new life in Arizona. I wish the best for you and your family in the Christmas Season and into the New Year.

Merry Christmas
And
God Bless You and Your Family
