MT2000 Test Mode

Post by N2YP »

Is there a way to put an MT2000 A7 into test mode by using a combination of power on and a side button?

Yes.

Turn the radio off, then on. Press the button directly above the PTT 5 times, and you'll see SERVICE pop up on the screen.

Thanks Alex, it worked! is there anyway to get the screen to slow doen so I can copy the serial number? It goes quickly to "RF test" then I don't know what to do.

Nope! Sorry. Not that I know of at least.

I don't know how to navigate the RF TEST menus, I can get them to change and such, but can't do much with it.

If you figure it out, and what things do what, let me know.

Get the camcorder out, and tape it. Frame step the playback.

Thanks Bob, great idea. By doing it a bunch of times, I was finally able to get the info I needed. This Board ROCKS!

I bit the bullet and plunked down my$250 to big M. Here is what I got:
3 years of updates. A dos disk for the mt2000 version R06.05.00 dated 2 Oct 2000; A cdrom for the mts2000. A tech told me that M will NOT be making anykind of windows version for the mt2000. Anybody got an MTS2000 for sale!
