I know that anything other than Motorola around here is taboo.. but, for some strange reason (probably cost) our local agencies are starting to purchase Kenwood radios.

who's the Kenwood god around this place???

if you are, PM me, i have some hardware/software questions...

thanks!

I believe that the moderators will let a board user who is looking to compare a motorola radio or radio capability to another brand provided it does not get too out of hand. Moderators have let these discussions progress in the past. I know there are a lot of threads concerning Kenwood radios vs. Motorola here as I have particiapated in these discussions. Do a search and see what you find. If you would like I have some experience with Kenwood 30 and 90 series radios and would be happy to discuss them with you. You can PM me or email me.

Thanks

What radios do you own?: More than you could imagine

The kenwoods are dependable and durable.

You buy the radio and it will do whatever you want through user programmable keys, not through bulky menus or hundred dollar fees per option per radio.

When you shut the moto salesman up and look at what you get per radio, kenwood becomes a clear choice.

You're probably better off (and we'd prefer) asking here:

http://www.radioinfoboard.com/

They have a fairly active commercial Kenwood forum. Most Kenwood savvy people from here are also over there.
