HT1000 internal speaker with shoulder mic problem

Post by EPC_1111 »

I have a group of HT1000s that are working fairly well with the exception of the internal mic turning itself on when I key up the shoulder mic. Is there a software fix for this or? ? ?

Nothing in the programming that affects the internal/external mic switching. I recomend the options/accy connector on the radio be cleaned. Failing that the ops conn has a poor connection in it or the flex to the controller. Could also be a bad controller board.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the internal mic is always disabled when the speaker/mic is keyed. I think the internal mic is only active if the radio is keyed "locally". Just out of curiosity, why would you want both mics active at the same time?

Thats what I thought. Apparently my radios think differently.
