Astro25 "W12" Preamp Option...
Option?? Why would this be listed as an "option" that you have to pay for in a flash? I was told that the reason CDM mobiles RX so great is that because they have a preamp that is already enabled, but besides the moto money making factor, why would they charge you to turn the physical preamp on?? It's like "your radio can preform much better on RX than it does now, but that'll cost more"...

same reason they charge you to "turn on" astro25 or smartzone or any other flashcode option, even though they are already in the firmware just disabled.
its just the way it works.

Oh ok. You'd just think that something like a phyiscal pre-amp that would only improve preformance, and possibly be a selling point, would already be turned on! AFAIK, this is an option in the portables as well as mobiles from what I've heard.
Re: Astro25 "W12" Preamp Option...
W12 Preamp is a valid option for Astro25 mobiles only.Rayjk110 wrote:AFAIK, this is an option in the portables as well as mobiles from what I've heard.

Well, being a mobile-only feature would make more sense than having it in a portable too.... I'm just saying it as I heard it. But it does make sense.

You can file it in the same folder as the AM-capable Astro Saber.Rayjk110 wrote:Well, being a mobile-only feature would make more sense than having it in a portable too.... I'm just saying it as I heard it. But it does make sense.
