I notice a distinct lack of FCC type acceptance in their brochure

Not only are they NOT type certificated/accepted, but the company and the sellers were notified of violations and fines by the FCC.

So, stay clear of that 'stuff'.....

That's a catchier slogan than "you're not really important, but we can help you feel like you are"

I actually have seen the radios a year or so ago, before they were put out there for sale.

They are absolute crap. I am pretty sure I know the person who is selling them (though, not really a radio person who is) and told him a year or so ago it's a pretty stupid idea.

So who knows. I suggest staying away.

These things are generics made in China for at least a dozen or more distributers. There's a guy on another B.B. selling them under the Holzberg PX-328 label, and he claims they are Part 90 certified and soon to be Part 95A compliant.

I've seen them labeled Wadsworth PX-777, Puxing, etc... etc... etc. Prices range from about $75.00 up to $245.00. I guess some sellers think the higher they jack up the price, the better the buyer will think the radio is! :o

I bought one awhile back to try it out and returned it. See this thread:

If you want an email that lists all of its deficiencies and the company's responses, shoot me a PM. The new model has some improvements, but I still wouldn't buy one.
