I've been working on putting together a spare UHF ham repeater as the parts have become available. Just a little background it was an analog control tray which is being converted to a digital tray. I'm receiving an error code of E40 and E41 which breaks down to RX and TX control lines not changing states. My question is was there a difference between the uniboards, analog vs digital or is that the uniboard has just gone bad?
Thank you in advance

I have seen that problem before, and it was the reference oscillator (14.4 MHz, I believe) on the uniboard. Another thing that may cause it is not getting your 9.6 volts from the intermediate power supply, located underneath the uniboard, if memory serves. I've only ever worked with the digital capable units, so I don't know if there's a difference between that & the analog uniboard. Hope that helps you.

The uniboard is the same between the analog and digital stations. The control boards are different between the two types and are not directly interchangeable.
I would also sugggest that you check all of the modules against the manual for compatibility. The injection filter, VCO and front end all look the same, but a 406-420 or 800 module won't tune to 444.

Good point Bernie, I was assuming the bandsplit was correct, but that could certainly be the cause as well.

Thanks for the help guys, looks like a little further investigation is going to be required.
