The Ol' CTL-SHIFT Trick

Does anyone know the procedure to enter ham band frequencies on the Motorola Spectra? Does the CTL-SHIFT trick work?

Vhf should go down to 144. UHF depends on the range.

If you're referring to the SHIFT-NUM trick that works on MaxTracs, it does NOT work on Spectras. You need to hex-edit a file to allow ham frequencies.
