Question [about current production Lowband portables]

Post by yardbirdjr »

Hello All !

I am wanting to find out what type portable radio Motorola is making these days that will do the 30-50 Mhz.

I have been told years ago that he Ht-1250 is the only portable that Motorola is making in Low band. I was just curious to see if they changed their thinking and are making another model.

I have two MT-1000's one on the 30-36 Mhz split and one on the 42-50 Mhz split. I like the radios but would like to find something from Motorola a liitle smaller like the size of the new CP-200 series.

I am not interested in any other brand except Motorola.

Please advise,

Thanks

David

From Motorola your portable choices will be either the HT750 or HT1250, and the available splits will be either 29.7-42MHz or 35-50MHz.

Motorola also has the PR860 that is a current production radio that is available in 29.7–42MHz and 35–50MHz splits also.
"Archers."
"I beg pardon, sire. Won't we hit our own troops?"
"Yes....but we'll hit theirs as well. We have reserves....attack"
