How do you get the flashcode out of radio (mts2000)

Post by Mike 701 »

I was curious to how to retrieve the flashcode out of an MTS2000, the person I am buying from said he hit squelch a number of times after start-up & got 5.65, then after pushing the side button 4 times it says flshcd 000000-0 six zeros then a dash then one more zero. I doubt the code is all zeros, anybody have a better idea? I just want to know if it will decode MDC ID's.

The problem with the MT/X/S series radios is that if you have the 6 character screen they go by awful quick.

Have him look at the back of the radio. In the bottom right of the label should be the flashcode written in small letters.

PM me the auction if you want - I know someone who has a VHF one up there (with a UHF antenna on it - idiot) who is a friend of a friend... I've already yelled at him about his description to no avail.

Thanks Alex, it's a private seller, but I see that one on eBay. - He says: the serial label on the back? - any ideas?

Thanks,

Should have been more specific :) Pictures of the serial/lables on the back... They should have the flash on them...

But does look like it's in great shape.

See if he'll sell it to you and if it doesn't have what you want, either keep it, return it, or sell it.

Alex, right before I posted them up, I asked him to send me pics of those areas. I figured htat's what you wanted, I'll get em up as soon (if) he sends them. Thanks for your help.

That flashcode can not possibly be correct, because H35 Conventional radio with no software features would be all zeros with a trailing 1.

Doh.

Nope, sorry :)

The older style lables usually do have something written in the bottom left or right corner. If I can find an example, i'll post it later.
