What is the HT the blond male FF has on him?

It is an XTX-3000 or 3500. They come in black, yellow, lime green or a red/orange.

With the high $$ of an XTS3000, most cities are getting either yellow or lime green flor. radios for fire/ EMS use; supposedly it helps find a lost radio. But- they all end up black in 6 mos. anyhow-!

LOL... thanks for the info. For a second there, I thought it was a Uniden SC-150Y scanner. :)

I stole it from the animation at: http://www.motorola.com/publicsafety/

It's used with the text "Preperation."

Go figure, Motorola using models.

Clean bunker gear, clean helmet, clean radio, chiseled face pretty boy...

Definetly fake... I'd say model shoot. :)

And to stqay on topic, I am not sure I'd want a yellow radio in the fire service. As mentionned before everything turns black. We HAD yellow personal mandown alarms, they didn't stay yellow long.

Definitely a pretty-boy model. Even for a high ranked officer that doesn't "see action", they'd still be a little dirtier than that. I bet the Ferarri and the makeup studio is sitting only 50 feet away.

Good job, "M" !

What I like is Mr. Beefcake's bunker coat has a radio pocket on it but the radio is hanging from his collar.

or how you can have a different radio for different occasions...

You could continue to read into it a bit more since the guy with the yellow ht has a white helmet, maybe it's a status thing. I'm the chief so I get the yellow radio.

Or he's trying to accessorise and go with whatever color best matches his uniform.

don't you also find it amusing that he's standing there *talking* to someone instead of barking orders over the radio? :)

Pretty? Males need not apply here for that title LOL!!!

Yep, as a photographer, I judge that pic fake as all get out.

The movie Ocean's Eleven.......anyone seen it?

Take a look at the radios the casino workers use that are sitting on the table when the main characters are doing the recon to learn how to rob the casino easier. To me, one is an HT1550 that's sitting on a table, the one that the robber is wearing dressed up as the casino facilities maintenance person seems to be the basic XTS (black :)) radio, and some look like SP21's, all working on the same system.

Anyone noticed?

Talking about Ocean 11, they were also using telario down in the underground safe......watch the movie and you will here the beeps similar to a nextel unit. But I would probably bet $20.00 that the head casino owner and others in the movie were also using the Motorola Telario, and yes I did see the XTS portable in use in the movie. NOW, I'm thinking.........."Vegas baby, Vegas"
