XTS2500 Channel Capacity

XTS2500 Channel Capacity

Looking over some Spec's for 2500's it seems that they are now capable of 870 channels, is this something that an exsisting 8meg 512 Channel radio can be upgraded to with a firmware upgrade?

Yes, R12.00.00 will give you the added channels.

The model 1.5 (display w/no front buttons) will only do 96 modes in the upgraded version.
Just wanted to add this to the thread as it is different than its Model II & III cousins that will do 870 modes.
