Maratrac Control Head Lighting

I have a Maratrac with the A7 control head. Are the buttons supposed to be back lit? Mine are not and I wanted to be sure before I took it apart looking for lamps.

They are backlit with LEDs. There are two series strings.

Yes, they are backlit. The unlabeled black button in the top right corner controls backlighting. One push is bright, two is dimmer, and three is off. Default when the radio first powers up is off.

That worked! I can't believe I missed pressing the dim button more than once.
