Hello everyone,
I have a programming question regarding cloning.
Does anyone know when you clone an Ht 1000 if there is a way to omit one or two transmit channels or any channels at all. I know its a long shot but I had to ask.Our department wants to clone a radio or two for a subcontractor, but doesn't want the radio to have access to one of our main channels.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Re: Ht1000 question
If you were allowed to omit channels in the clone operation, it wouldn't be a clone, now, would it?
Re: Ht1000 question
Are we talking conventional or trunked?
Either way, just do a full clone then remove the zones or channels if they only need a couple of channels. Really not too hard

Lowband radio. The original and non-complicated wide area interoperable communications system
Re: Ht1000 question
Thanks,
it's conventional. How would I remove the channels or zone that I do not wish the user to access?
Any info is appreciated.

Re: Ht1000 question
Read the radio and delete the channels. Really that simple. 16 ch radio or? How many channels do they need? If its a normal 16ch radio, should take less than 5min to read the radio, delete the channels and write back to it.

Thanks
it's a 16 channel and all I have is the clone cable, no software or anything.

- What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
Re: Ht1000 question
you can't do what you are asking with a clone cable. you will need to take at least one radio to a radio shop and have them alter it how you want then clone that radio.
