Re: HT-1250 TX problems
Beg or borrow a watt meter or a cheap field strength meter and find out if the radio is transmitting any kind of RF output at a decent level. Chances are that the final amplifier transistor is bad, OR the connection between the antenna and the circuit board is broken.

Re: HT-1250 TX problems
I recently had this problem with a radio. The bracket that the antenna screws in to had bad solder joints so the antenna connection was bad.

Re: HT-1250 TX problems
Please check you current draw with ammeter a good reading is 1.5 amps at 4.5 to 5.0 watts if this to low like .6 amps you do have a bad PA. Also check your battery contact & antenna jack screw.

Thanks guys for your advice, and I will give your answers a shot. IF the PA in my radio's bad.... what would the proper steps be to get this radio fixed and in working order again?? Thanks again.
