HT750 Troubleshooting

Post by aj_day »

I have came across a problem with a vhf HT750 radio was dropped about a foot on carpet. Now radio will not power up. No LED and no power up sound. I switched a face plate from another radio on to this one and had it working for a minute but when i decided to put it all back together and switch faces now i can't get it to work again. Radio has fully charged battery I have verified 7.8 volts going in switch and coming out. I also have located power to the ribbon for the face plate. But im still not able to get a power up tone or led and none of the buttons seem to be working also.

Now does any one else have any tips or tricks ?

Hi
There is internal fuse is located near the A+, the A+ contact is inside one please, you cannot see if it open you must used multy meter an OHM check this. If this messure good please check TP 406 it must have 7.5 VDC if not replace swc.
