Hi,
I have problems enabling a kind of power on password in Systems Saber III radios, should be firmware 7, AFAIR. There is a menu in the CPS that aloows entering such a password, but I can not get the radio to request the PW. With my German Police Saber III radios this was straight forward, I enabled it in the RSS, and it worked.
What am I missing?

Re: Systems Saber III - how to set radio password?
Hello Ralph,
First off, the Systems Saber portables don't use CPS, they use RSS. Major difference in operation there otherwise I wouldn't have said anything. CPS is [usually] always Windows based.
In order to be able to enter a password and use the radio lock feature, you must first turn the feature on in the radio. Try looking in the "Display Options" part of the RSS (F4 to change/edit codeplug, and I believe it's F3 for display options). Radio Lock should be enabled to allow entry of the password, etc. to use the feature.
