Radio ID on Spectra

Post by colby4601 »

I have a Spectra (not Astro) that is on a SmartZone system.

I'm wondering if an alias can be assigned to that specific radio ID.

Thanks in advance.

All valid IDs can be aliased in a SZ system. How else would a dispatcher know who keyed up?

If you're asking whether you can have an alias show up instead of 7xxxxx then no, your radio does not support that feature.

They show up as "9DCD", for example, whenever dispatch keys up if that makes a difference.

The Astro Spectra does not support call aliasing.
