MTS2000 Out of band?

Post by Mike 701 »

I have been told that the mts2000 series can go out of band physically, but some have told me that actually getting the software to do it is another ball game. I will be receiving a 450-520 type III mts2000 in a few days, and already have the codeplug. I cannot get it to go below 450MHz, then again, I only tried the "shift" trick. Is there a way to hexedit the ODB file to edit the bandsplit. I have looked at the Batlabs information page on it, and I suppose you can. However, I am definately not advanced at software editing, and most of the page looks like greek to me. Would it be against the rules if someone sent me a modified ODB file, or is that also trade of RSS? If so, can somebody help me through this so I can edit this?

Thanks in advance guys,
Mike

I opened up the mtsx.odb file in hex editor. I searched for every text string of 450, and edited it to 440. Do the same for whichever band you want to use.
