XTS5000 PL tone TX/RX reversed?

Post by kb9mqu »

Hi all,

I've got an XTS5000 with a strange issue. When I program it using FPP, the TX PL and RX PL seem to be reversed. That is, it does not transmit a 100 Hz PL tone unless I set Rx PL to 100.0.

I'm guessing I must have clicked some obscure setting in CPS by mistake the last time I programmed the radio. Anybody know what setting would cause this behavior?

Thanks!

The only thing that comes to mind is that you have talkaround tied to a switch or button and it is turned on. In the CPS you can specify the talkaround frequency & tone. Take a look at your zone channel assignment screen and see what is there. It will be all the way over to the right.
