I am not sure if it applies, but I know that the saber line of display models have a tiny adjustment screw just below the display that adjusts the contrast.

Can you give some more info about the adjustment. Where is it on the board, front back left right etc. I have looked carefully and can't find anything to adjust. TIA

Where is the contrast adjustment for the MTX8000 B5 display? If there is one?

Same place for the B5's B7's and MTS front display radios. I imagine the same applies to the entire Jedi line as M's known for common parts.

Some of the NTN7153/7154's have it some don't. Depends on who actually built the board. The display boards are made by outside suppliers, and vary slightly. The older ones seem to have it, newer ones lack it. I just got an MTX8000 B7 made in Feb 2001, and it does not have the adjustment. But my 1997 made MTS2000 does.

I recall last year that M got ahold of some real crap ones, had an MTS2000 that needed a new display/front cover. Ordered an NTN7154 and it failed within a day, the display just quit- funny characters and all. Got a second one, it lasted two weeks, same problem. It tooks five days for the MSS to get a replacement the third time, and the parts manager told me that they have been having problems with the boards and were swtiching vendors.
