CPS version R06.01.00 error 4-1379
I have recently installed the CPS version R06.01.00. When I try to read a radio, I keep getting an error code " error 4-1379 ". I even tried loading a codeplug that I used with ver R04.00.00. This produced the same results. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is???
What radio trying to read? Is the RSS AA, AZ, or LA? That error code means you are using a foreign radio. For instance, if your software is AA, and you're trying to read a Pro9150, or Pro7150, Pro7100 etc. etc....it will not work, that is the error message you will get. On the flipside, iIf you are trying to program an HT1550, HT1250/750, CDM1550 etc. etc with LA software, you will get the same error. Bottom line, you have the wrong CPS.

Not only could it be that you are reading a 'foreign' radio, but also be using a foreign CPS....If you are reading a HT series Pro radio or a CDM etc. radio, you should be using the North American version AA, if you are reading a PRO5150, 7150, 9150, etc or the GM340, 360, 380, etc. (i think those are some of the european, etc. mobiles), then you should be using the appropriate CPS version, AZ (European I think), LA (Latin America), etc. You would get the error if you are reading with the wrong CPS for each type of radio.....
The 'AZ' version will not work with any of those radio's. Those are all American radio's and I believe the 'AZ' is the Asian countries.
The following is the CPS status questioned by hvacesu78:
LA - Latin America
AA - USA
AZ - Asian
MD - European
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
flamewild....what was the CPS R04 version you were using? If you have the AA version it should read these radio's, except if they were already programmed with a later version, then they will need the later version?

They must have been programed with a later version because it has some kind of error message that leads me to that conclusion. This is why I appropiated the R06, but did not know I was getting the shaft on an Asian version. The R04 works fine with the 750 and 1250 I have, but will not work with the EX500 and HT1550 I have.
