MTX950 Programming Anomoly?

Post by indigo »

MTX950 900MHz M/N AAH25WCC4GB3AN recently bench tested fine, then programmed in the ham bands OK - unit transmits OK but will not receive the repeater output either with PL turned on or without the PL turned on (CSQ), but if monitor button on the side is depressed when the repeater is transmitting the repeater can be heard!! What's up with this? Just can't hear the repeater unless the monitor button is depressed...

I'm looking at one of these radios now thinking about it for my 900 repeater.

It sounds like the radios tracking values are screwed up and the squelch threshold is really high ?

Have you tried another near by radio to see if it receives fine without needing to open the squelch ?

What radios do you own?: HT1550's, X9000's, CDM1550's
