Motorola R750

Post by tbergman »

I have been searching through many forums and it seems everyone has a different answer, can the R750 or any version do mototalk? If yes, how can it be programmed to do so?

Thanks

The R750 WILL NOT do Moto talk, the R750 was not even an AMBE unit, it was based on the i700. With the correct f/w and bandmap they will do single site (a kind of failsoft) and perhaps a direct mode but I don't recall for sure. The units that were on Southlink with the orange emergency button (the Nextels were black and programmed as a privet button) would be the ones that did direct if any of them did.

Thanks very much for the reply, I do recall reading that ISO was available but it needed to be enabled in the RSS. Does anyone have any information on the direct mode as I'm guessing while not mototalk would be phone to phone comms. Thats really interesting that the Linc phones can be identified based on the color of the top button.
