What radios do you own?: GP380

GP 380 suddenly dead

Post by ro »

Hi,

I've got an UHF GP380 which worked flawlessly for years. A few days ago I took it out of the shelf after a few months of not using it. I turned the volume knob in order to power it up, but nothing happened. No beep, no display, no keyboard backlight. As if no battery was attached at all. Of course I switched batteries with other GP380, but no luck.

What could be the cause of this? Are there any tests I can perform to narrow down the source of the error? I mean - a perfectly working radio that is suddenly dead?

Is there a way to do some kind of hard-reset by simultaneously pressing buttons while turning it on?

Cheers,

Ro
