Hi all,
OK,one more important question for now...
I have access to MTX900S LABTOOL which is what i've been trying to read the radios without success,(POWER FAULT).
The question is, when using LABTOOL,is a "dongle" like that shown on Bat required ?
Thanks to the board,

LABTOOL QUESTION

No dongle required. You indicated in your other post you had the "proper RSS" for the radios. Well, it's very likely your version of LAB is too old to read the radios. The only other thing I can think of checking is that the RSS is set for COM1, not COM2. I've heard of several LAB versions that have been set that way by default, when they have been obtained the illegal way (ie: downloaded & unzipped).

It's "Power Fault". Turn off EMM386 in your autoexec.bat and command files and it will work fine. Your probably using a computer that had Win 3.11 on it at some time and it's grabbing the port.
If you've got the original setup disks, it gives you this in the setup instructions.
I've encountered the same problem several times before. The EMM386 file is whats causing your problem. About half the time you can read or program radios, the other half of the time you'll get that "Power Fault" error message.

Hi,
Well in line with Monty's reply I plan to get another RIB.
But I also tried to turn off EMM386 and the comp said EMM386 driver not loaded so I turned HIMEM to low in config.sys, restarted and it still didn't work.
So I think that maybe it's the rib and/or possibly 25mhz is too fast for this sw. Unless you have another idea or i've not done the memory thing correct ? If so please tell me.
Thanks for all the help and info,as far as i'm concerned, this forum is the best place on the WWW.
Best regards,
Franko
