Is there another way other than dismantling the radio to find out if the encrypt board is installed?

Hey that sounds easy, where would i find out what is installed?
I ask this because right after i was able to get P25 on a simplex freq i checked the DES-XL box and none of the RX stations could understand my audio (digital HASH).

It sounds like you have a module capable of DES-XL.

Obvious question but did you load a key with a KVL? A key that matches what's in the other radios?
